Josephine DeAnda Padilla Lopez, born May 08, 1933, to her parents Santos Padilla and Juan DeAnda, passed away, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 early in her sleep, at the Lexington Healthcare Facility. She is Mother of Angeline (husband Timothy Barrett), Gloria (husband Thomas Stoettner) & Patricia (husband Michael Ganser), and wife of Jesse J. Lopez (deceased). Grandmother to Timothy Barrett II, Jessica K. Barrett, & Hannah Ganser.  She was active in church & traveled extensively. She was the oldest of 9 children, born in San Juan De Los Lagos, in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. She raised her children in Burbank Illinois, and then Orland Park, Illinois, & finally at Bethlehem Woods Retirement Home. Josie’s bright light and love of life touched so many. She was warm, compassionate, selfless, courageous, and effervescent. A wonderful storyteller, with a quick wit, and always quick to laugh.Her beautiful spirit will live on the hearts and memories of those who loved her forever. She was also a very generous person to those in need, and a very loyal friend. Visitation will be at the Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Mladison St. in Willowbrook, on Monday, February 22 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Hospital Fund.
