Michael Laube of Riverside joined his Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ, suddenly due to a heart attack on Sunday, January 2, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife Julie and sons Matthew and Peter Laube; his parents Daniel and Brunie Laube and his mother-in-law Barbara Daehler; he was a beloved brother-in-law to Robert (Jane) Daehler, William (Anne) Daehler, Barbara (Timothy) Saxman and James Daehler. He was a loving uncle to 15 nieces and nephews as well as 4 great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Robert Daehler.

Michael met  his wife of 20 1/2 years in 1991 at Northern Illinois University where he graduated Cum Laude.

Michael was a very loving and supportive dad that enjoyed playing sports with his sons and sharing his passion for music; he was a faithful member of the Evangelical Lutheran Bethel Congregational Church where he was the Assistant Pastor, Church organist, pianist and Sunday School teacher for almost 35 years. He enjoyed the Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, and countless other sports teams.  He was a Riverside youth baseball, basketball, and soccer coach as well as a Berwyn Bombers lacrosse coach throughout his life for his sons.  He enjoyed many father-son activities such as laser tag, go-karts, and water parks, going to LA Fitness with his sons for workouts and basketball games; day or night there was a sports competition on their driveway or yard or ping pong with his game winning back spins.

Professionally, Michael was a Tax Increment Finance Consultant, CPA and owner and founder of Laube Companies.  Michael was respected and loved by his work colleagues, family and friends. His legacy will live on through all the lives he has touched.  He will be greatly missed.

All services will conclude after the 11:30 am service on Saturday.
