Ann Marie Kuchta Obituary
Ann Marie (Findor) Kuchta of Countryside, age 73, at rest May 25, 2026. Beloved wife of Edward Kuchta for 51 years. She was the loving mother of Nicolaus Kuchta and Victoria (Kuchta) Szczepaniak, cherished mother-in-law to Denise and Mark; proud grandmother “Babi” to Agnes, Jack, Luke & Eva; fond aunt to Kristen Refness, Samantha Chavana, and the late Joseph Bottari; dearest sister to Robert Findor and the late Elizabeth Findor.
Ann was devoted to her family, honoring our family traditions with each holiday meal she prepared. She was an excellent cook and made everyone their favorite meal for their birthday dinner. Ann was instrumental in organizing a pierogi making day every November. She always made enough to last us through the following Lenten season.
As a clinical pharmacist and Asst. Professor of Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy, UIC campus, for 40 years, she “adopted” students and colleagues alike, sharing our heritage with them. She enjoyed playing the piano, ballroom dancing, and the latest fashion trends. She wanted to share as many vacation experiences with the family as possible. The most satisfying getaway was the trip to Hawaii to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with the entire family.
Ann was passionate about her Faith and volunteered as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Gusher and Minister of Care at St. Cletus Church. She was an active member of the CCW.
Ann’s faith and medical background helped her to advocate, not only for herself, but others facing similar medical challenges. She fully embraced the need for physical therapy to maintain strength in addition to treatment with drugs. Ann will be greatly missed by all.
