Carl Walter Fenske Obituary
Carl Fenske, age 92 of Willowbrook, passed away on December 11, 2025. Carl was born in Chicago on September 12, 1933, to the late Walter and the late Clara (nee Brandsted) Fenske. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Beverly (nee Mazanec), loving father of Norman, John, and Loraine Fenske. Brother to the late August and Lorraine, nephew of the late Dorothy Wierman, brother-in-law of the late Norman (Helen Halicka) Mazanec, and uncle to Mark and Paul Mazanec.
Carl was a proud United States Army Veteran serving from 1953 to1955 in the 765th Field Artillery Division, 7th Army in West Germany. For 44 years, Carl worked at Westinghouse Electric in Chicago and then continued his career at Furnas Electric in West Chicago until his retirement.
Carl was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, Grove Lodge No. 824 AF & AM. He was a current member of the Medinah Shriners and a charter member of the Trap and Field Sportsman’s Club. Carl was an avid hunter, shooter and a friend to many, who remember him as the “best person that people ever met.”
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 3PM until the time of a Masonic service at 7:30PM at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, IL 60527. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10:30AM at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home. Interment is private.
