Daniel Castañeda of Oak Park passed away on December 19, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his parents Amalia and Eduardo ”Lalo”.  He is survived by his partner/friend and the mother of his children Magdalena “Maggie” Castañeda; his children Danny Jr and Cristian. Loving brother of Eduardo Jr, Edgar(Julie Anderson), and Juan Carlos(Consuelo Venegas) Castañeda. Beloved uncle of Elena, Gabi, Eddie Castañeda, Isaac Castañeda Anderson, Olivia Valentina Castañeda. Nephew of Adolfo(Imelda), Jesus(Maria Elena), Salvador(Amelia), Jorge, Luis(Dolores), Tiburcio(Guadalupe), Ana Maria, Victoria Castañeda and Teresa(Emilio) Alvarado.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 3 until time of prayer service 7pm at Adolf Funeral Home, 2921 S Harlem Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402. Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 26th at 8:30am at the funeral home to process for a 9:30 am funeral mass at Epiphany Catholic Church, 25th and Keeler, Chicago, IL.Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
