Dennis J. Karas, age 73 of Burr Ridge, passed away suddenly on June 30, 2024, while on a European cruise. Born on June 7, 1951, in Berwyn, Illinois, he lived a life marked by devotion to his family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Paulette, and was adored by his daughters, Kristin and Courtney (Dan Mack), who will remember him as a guiding light in their lives. A cherished husband and father, Dennis’s presence enriched the lives of those around him. He is also survived by his brothers Donald (Cathy) and Richard (Cheryl) along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
An avid golfer, Dennis found great joy and relaxation on the golf course. His passion for golf was not just a hobby but a significant part of his life that he shared with his daughters and brought him happiness and peace. He was also a weekly bowler with his dearest friend Jim, for over 50 years.
Dennis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, love, and enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 14th from 4pm to 8pm at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 South Madison Street, Willowbrook, IL 60527.
Friends will gather on Monday July 15th at 10am, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8404 South Cass Ave. Darien, IL 60561 for a funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Marist Brothers, Provincial Development Office, 4200 W. 115th St., Chicago, IL 60655.
