Donald F. Guerra, 89, of Indian Head Park died August 23, 2025.

Don was born in Chicago, lived in Cicero and attended Morton High School in Cicero (at Grant works).  Don met the love of his life, Martha {Sladek), in a record store as a teenager.  He joined the army at age 19 (and served in the Korean War). Shortly after his return, Don and (his sweetheart) Martha were married October 6, 1956.

Don was a devoted and caring husband and loving father. He coached baseball and soccer and was very involved in his four kids' activities. He was a kind man who had smile for everyone. Walking to White Sox games he would greet everyone sitting on a porch along the way with a friendly "hi" or “hi pal”. His warmth, kindness, generosity, strength and bright spirit will always be remembered.

He worked as an office manager for Borden Chemical. After his division was disbanded he worked for a number of years as a car salesman and also as an accountant.  In his later years, he assisted his son in his sports card business, wholesaling and delivering throughout the Chicagoland area.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Guerra; his children, Don Guerra, Greg (Melissa) Guerra, Michelle Maly, and Glenn (Teri) Guerra; five grandchildren, Dan (Monica) Guerra, Allison (Caleb) Schupbach, Danielle Maly, Max Guerra and Lilian Guerra and four great-grandchildren.
