Eugene John Wozniak, Senior, 95, of Darien, Illinois, born December 6, 1928, and at rest January 11, 2024, surrounded by love. Loving husband to Josephine C. Wozniak (née: Knapczyk) for 73 years; loving son of the late John and Sophie Wozniak; brother to the late Mitchell (Marilyn) Wozniak; loving father to Carol (Gregory) Pierce and the late Eugene (Judith) Wozniak, Jr.; caring grandfather to Kevin (Elise) Wozniak, Lauren (Thomas) Krug, Julie (Joshua) Wielebnicki and Lisa (Jacob) Wielebnicki; adoring great-grandfather to Camden, Cora, Grayson, Brynn, Anne, Stella, Morgan, and Jordan; loving uncle to many.

Eugene was a true entrepreneur, earning the respect of all who were privileged to work alongside him over his expansive career. He worked for 20 years as a Senior Buyer at Miehl Gross Dexter. He was a pioneer in the commercial and retail hardware industry; owning and managing Fair Deal Hardware, Highland Ace Hardware, and Gencar, Inc. His dedication to his professional endeavors expanded to his committed service on various boards including. Edgewood Bank, Old Kent Bank, and Edgemark Financial. Special thank you for all the tender and loving care given to Eugene.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Cletus Catholic Church 600 W 55th Street, LaGrange, IL. The burial will be private at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. www.stjude.org
