Genia Dalila Marín Horna was born in Huánuco, Perú on March 3rd, 1942. Beloved daughter of Ranulfo Marín and Carmen Horna de Marín. Loving sister to Elven (deceased at 5 years old), Julio, Manuel, Elven, José, and Carmen. She was the first in her family to graduate from the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo with a degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Microbiology. After years of dedication to her sons, she became the Office Manager of West Town Medical Associates, the extremely successful private practice of Dr. Julio Lara-Valle. Genia Lara-Marín, beloved wife of 52 years to Julio Lara-Valle M.D. Loving mother of Julio, Rico, and Mauricio (Julie) Lara. Devoted Abuelita of Nico and Santino Lara. Family and friends will meet Saturday May 31st, 2025, at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 South Madison Street, Willowbrook, IL 60527. From 11:00 am – 11:30 am will be the religious ceremony and immediately afterwards the visitation will last until 4:00 pm. Food and beverages will be provided.
