We regretfully announce the passing of Kevin Yagoda (age 57) of Burr Ridge, Illinois.
Kevin Yagoda will be forever loved and forever remembered by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Yagoda (Tim McMillan); his fiancé and true love Janine McInerney; sisters Laverne Kwilosz, Sharon Wigginton, Sandy Hart (Mike Hart) and Monica Vlcek (Russ Vlcek); nephews Marty Kwilosz (Stephanie Kwilosz), Steven and Matt Murcek; and great-nephew Logan Murcek.
In passing, he joins his parents Patricia and Bruno Yagoda, his favorite dogs Sylvia and Robbie, as well as his beloved Monte Carlo.
Beyond his family, Kevin’s loss will undoubtedly be felt by numerous friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and Vegas employees. He was a true original – a man whose kindness and beautiful soul brightened the lives and days of everyone he encountered.
Kevin was born in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Hinsdale South High School. He found his professional niche early in the vending industry and later in many different forms of novelties and entertainment.
Kevin was a man of many passions. His favorite pastime may have been traveling with loved ones to Las Vegas, New Orleans, and other nightlife hubs. In 2020, he was named the Honorary Mayor of Las Vegas following Wayne Newton.
A world-class darts player and professional poker player, Kevin often took part in league and tournament play. He’d always win, but he’d buy you a beer afterwards. Kevin was also an avid Chicago sports fan and soup enthusiast.
Kevin found no greater joy in his life than travelling and exploring with his beloved fiancé, Jeanie. His radiant happiness in her presence was undeniable.
He was a devoted fiancé, doting father, loyal brother, loving uncle, and cherished friend. He will be forever missed.
