Larry Kowalkowski Obituary

Larry Kowalkowski of Frankfort passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at the age of 66. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Kathy Kowalkowski (nee Kluge), loving brother to Jane (Emil) Janowiak, and Roman Kowalkowski. Dearly loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Cherished son of the late Stanley and Anna Kowalkowski. 


Larry was born in Poland and came to America in 1967 when he was 7 years old. He worked in the steel industry for 48 years, including the last 13 with Nucor Tubular Products and was known for his strong and dedicated work ethic. He had an undeniable passion for life and touched the hearts of all who knew him with his never-ending smile and positive attitude. He loved to fish, ski, play golf, cook, and bring happiness to all those around him. 


Taken too soon, he will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those who had the pleasure and honor to know him. 


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 3PM to 8PM at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527


Family and friends will gather at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 8:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Peace, 701 Plainfield Rd, Darien, IL 60561


Interment at Clarendon Hills Cemetery
