Lau Sang Sze, aged 79, passed away on September 13th, 2026, in Downers Grove, IL. He was born on April 3rd, 1947, in China. He brought his younger brother with him to Hong Kong as a youth to seek a better life and education. It is there that he became a tradesman and where he spent most of his young adult life. Hong Kong is where he met his wife, got married, and started a family. His work brought him to many places around the world where he started his hobbies of stamp and coin collecting to commemorate his visits to those locations.

He immigrated to America with his family in 1990 to provide his children with better opportunities. In America, he changed his career and worked until retirement. Retirement provided him with time to relax and spend time caring for all his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Ah Yuk; son, Chun Ho; daughter-in-law, Sally; daughter, Ying-Ying; son-in-law, Jonathan; grandchildren, Gavin, Elizabeth, Greyson, and Coralin.

Service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at 7:30 am at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook, IL 60527. Interment will follow the service at Clarendon Hills Cemetery, 6900 S Cass Ave, Darien, IL 60561.
