Leah Jean Keenan Faulkner born August 20, 1951 in Charleston, West Virginia to Grace and Leslie Nelson passed away on the 14th of September 2023 in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

Leah graduated from Charleston West Virginia High School in 1969. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) at West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1973 followed by her Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing Administration from Xavier University, Chicago, Illinois in 1994. Leah was a dedicated employee at Hinsdale Hospital for 37 years.

In 1973, Leah married Daniel Keenan. In 1987, she married Paul E. Faulkner. Together they had one son, Gregory Allen Faulkner.  

Leah lived a joyful, faithful life showing love and compassion to all those she met.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Gregory Allen Faulkner (Cindy Dollman), Bloomington, Illinois; her twin sister, Lana (Scott) Griffin, Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Jesse Youell, Cedar Lake, Indiana; fiancée Larry Zalud, Cedar Lake, Indiana; stepbrother Carl Lee Nelson, Lexington, Kentucky; three precious granddaughters, Eva (11), Demi (6) and Aris (5) Faulkner;  stepdaughter, Rhonda (Greg) Parks;  stepson, Darryl (Michaela) Faulkner; step-granddaughter, Bailey Faulkner; step-grandsons, Geron Parks, Joe Fonceca, Demitrius Faulkner, Zachary and Xavier Faulkner; nephew, Ben Coats; brothers-in-law: Clinton (Linda) Faulkner and Ernest Faulkner; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11am until time of service at 12pm on Sunday October 1, 2023 at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527.
