You may have passed on, but your memories will always live within us. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you have done for us. Wherever you are, we know you are in a much better place. We will be forever grateful and thankful that you are our 'Nana'.

A shooting star is considered a symbol of good luck and positive change. A Sign of Love: Seeing a shooting star can represent the love and connection between two people. It can serve as encouragement to take risks or make important life decisions... When I was very young the apartment we lived in had roof access from the back porch. We would often sit out there and play when it was warm enough. One night lying under the night sky, we saw a shooting star. She said “you see that shooting star? Make a wish, it’s good luck!” I repeated after her ) "starlight star bright first star I see tonight. I wish I may. I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight..." Mami, whenever I see a shooting star. I will know its you! They are beautiful, rare, strong, brilliant but like you, gone too soon!
I will think of you every day until I see you again.

I love you Mommie-rommie,

Poke

From the moment I met you, it was love at first sight so it seems from the stories shared. Thank you for loving me back. Thank you for loving us and having a big enough heart to share with us all. I hope you know how much you were loved. You wanted everyone to feel they belonged. Perhaps in thinking of everyone else, you forgot to think about you. As much as you being physically gone pains us, we know you need to now rest in peace. You will live on in our hearts, minds, and memories. Selfishly, I still want more time with you, we all do. While we are not ready to let you go, we understand your journey had to come to an end. We witnessed a bravery not yet seen before and we are in awe of and admire you. You have taught us much about sacrifice, devotion, and family. Our blended family is unique and special because of you. Until we meet again.

With love,

Trina
