In Loving Memory of Margaret Erickson

 

Margaret Erickson of Countryside, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in her favorite armchair.

 

She was born on June 6, 1948, in Romania. Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a woman whose kindness and generosity reached far beyond her own family.

 

She was truly a beacon of light in this world. Margaret had an incredibly kind and giving heart. She worked hard throughout her life and was always willing to help others, including people she barely knew or had never met. She was humble, compassionate, and selfless, often putting the needs of others before her own. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to make sure someone else was taken care of.

 

No matter what struggles she faced in her own life, she chose to live with love. Her love was shown through her actions, her generosity, her kindness, and the countless lives she touched. Her impact was not limited to her family; she made a difference in the lives of so many people simply by being the loving and giving person she was.

 

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness, compassion, and generosity that will continue through everyone whose life she touched.

 

She is survived by her children, Maria Nedelcu and Vasile Nedelcu; and her grandchildren, Julia Torres, Isaiah Nedelcu, Moses Bryant, and Lazarus Bryant.

 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Niculae Nedelcu, and her son, Marius Nedelcu.

 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook, IL 60527. Interment will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Fairmont Willow Hills Cemetery at 10:30AM.
