Marlene Kubin Obituary
We are deeply saddened, yet at peace to announce that Marlene Kubin has been called home on October 31, 2024. Born in Chicago, IL, on September 18, 1931, she was the cherished daughter of John Lang and Ida Ebbole. Marlene was a devoted mother to Deborah Acevedo, Nancy (Santos) Velazquez, Kenneth Kubin, and David (Rita) Kubin. She brought us all joy as a nurturing grandmother to David (Ale) Acevedo, Kristen (Ayal) Aberman, Amy Velazquez, David Kubin Jr., and Kimberly (Lui) Segura. Marlene also embraced her role as a beloved great-grandmother to Analiese Aberman, Justin Kubin, Samantha Velazquez, and Jayden Acevedo. Marlene was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in cooking, gardening, and embracing the beauty of nature. She loved to crochet, play games, and create moments of laughter and connection. Her life was centered around her family, who were her greatest joy and inspiration.
A visitation to honor her memory will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 3 PM until the prayer service at 7 PM at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, located at 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527. A private interment will be held at Mary Hill Cemetery in Niles. Marlene will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
