Mildred Rose Marek, age 88, (nee: Valvoda) at rest January 13, 2016. Beloved wife of Frank J. Marek for 66 years. Loving mother of Joanne (Bill) Iwinski and Linda (Tim) Belmont. Dear grandmother of Kimberly and Kelly Belmont. Fond sister of the late Joseph and Evelyn Valvoda. Mildred met her husband Frank, through their common interest in ballroom dancing. They frequently enjoyed dancing at Melody Mill and the Willowbrook Ballroom. They were married September 10th, 1949. Mildred was known as the family caretaker. She also enjoyed traveling with the family, special trips to Disneyland with the grandchildren, visiting relatives in the Czech Republic, doing needlepoint, reading and shopping. Visitation for Mildred will be held on Monday January 18, 2016 from 9:00 am. until the time of service 12:30 pm. at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, IL 60527. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
