Mirjana “Mima” Tajsic (née Rasic), 53, of Indian Head Park, Illinois, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Rochester, Minnesota, at the Mayo Clinic after a courageous battle.

Mima was born on September 28, 1972, in Vranje, Serbia, to Jovan and Dragana (née Dzuvarevic) Rasic. She carried her warmth, resilience, and deep love for family and friends throughout her life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Mima is survived by her beloved husband, Aleksandar “Aca” Tajsic, and her cherished son, Luka Tajsic. She is also survived by her brother, Miodrag (Vesna) Rasic; her father- and mother-in-law, Radojko and Natalija Tajsic; her sister-in-law, Marija (Dusan) Jankovic; her nephew, Pavle Jankovic; her uncle, Milan (Snezana) Popovic; her aunt, Dana (Tommy) Spremo; as well as many extended family members, kumovi, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jovan and Dragana Rasic.

Mima will be remembered for her kind spirit, her ability to form deep and meaningful connections, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and strength to many, and her memory will be treasured always.

A visitation will be held on April 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 12pm at Most Holy Mother of God, New Gracanica Monastery, 35240 W. Grant Avenue, Third Lake, Illinois 60046. Interment to follow.
