It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas “Nick” James Schipiour, age 54, who died on August 4, 2025, at his home. Nick was born on June 26, 1971, in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Nick was known for his loving and caring nature. He lived in the original house of his grandparents in Chicago’s McKinley Park neighborhood, a home filled with family history and treasured memories. Raised in LaGrange, IL, he attended school there and developed a lifelong love for animals, classic rock, and the simple things in life. Nick’s warmth could be felt in his big hugs, easy smile, and kind heart, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Nick is survived by his brother, Tony (Laura Fout) Schipiour, Aunt Lynda Mocny Dillon, Uncle Bill Schipiour (Anne), Uncle Warren Mocny, Aunt Deborah McShane (John), Niece Andrea Schipiour, great niece Myhia Lychaj, and many cousins and relatives who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father Anthony William Schipiour, mother Sharon Ann Schipiour nee Mocny, and Uncle Ronald Schipiour.
Visitation will be held at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook, IL on Thursday, August 14, from 3:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm.
