Pat Essie Lee Aylward, age 91, beloved mother of Debra (Geoffrey, deceased) Callahan, Richard Chris (Maureen) Aylward, Ann (Tony) Cort, proud grandmother of six, great grandmother to one. Widowed in her mid 30s, she is an inspiration to her family as one who faced life's challenges with acceptance and persistence. Pat greeted everyone with her beautiful smile living a life of generosity and patience as she battled Alzheimer's disease for 11 years. Known for her knitting, quilting and needlepoint work, our family will cherish the many gifts of her handiwork. Our family is deeply grateful to the wonderful caregiving staff of King Bruwaert House. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14th, 10 AM, St. John the Baptist Church, S233 Church Street, Winfield, IL. Interment will be held at a later date.
