Patricia Catherine Bryerton (nee O’Neill) passed away peacefully January 27, 2025  surrounded by family. Cherished daughter of the late John & Lucille O’Neill. Beloved partner  of Penny Doran. Loving mother of Karen Bachman, Bart, Robert, Amy (Ken) Morrissey,  Mary, and Jerome. Cherished grandmother of Eric, Dan (Jessica) Bachman, Khloe Bryerton,  Grace (Lee) Rady, Jessica, and Jack Morrissey. Great-grandmother to Ava and Danny  Bachman, and Kyle. 

Fond sister of John (Kathrine), the late Karen O’Neill, Terrance, Michael (Nedra),  Kathleen (the late Scott) Brown, Colleen (Michael) Tarantino, James (Tina). Pat will also  be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from Illinois to California. 

Pat being the mother of six, had an affection for all children. She was one of the first  La Leche League hosts in the Chicago area. Under Pat’s guidance and support, local mothers  would gather at Marquette Park and nurse their infants while their older children played in  the park’s sprinklers. Pat’s desire to nurture all children carried on with her move to Santa  Rosa, California over 32 years ago, where she happily worked as a Head Start teacher.  

Pat returned to Illinois in early 2024 and took residence in a memory care facility. The move  allowed family and friends to visit and walk beside Pat during her journey. These times spent  together were sometimes filled with memories of Pat’s life, her dreams, and her travels. And  there were poignant quiet moments spent outdoors soaking up the sunshine. Moments that  will be cherished by all. 

Pat was a peaceful soul who loved unconditionally. She wore a bright smile and gave tender  hugs to all. She loved to cook and even carried onions in her purse, just in case. Pat grew lush  gardens wherever she called home, and would soak in any available bathtub - even one in the  showroom at a plumbing fixture shop.  

We are grateful to have had Pat in our lives. And we are thankful for all the support received  along the way. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025 from 9am until time of funeral service 11am at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527.
