Robin "Robbie" Buckle Fitzgerald

Robin “Robbie” Buckle Fitzgerald of Hinsdale passed away on Valentine's Day February 14, 2026.

Born in LaGrange, IL on January 21, 1956, to the late Theodore (Ted) and Nancy Koczy Buckle, Robin attended Hinsdale Central High School and College of DuPage. After attending COD Robin began her career as a legal secretary in Oak Brook.

Robin married her soulmate Bill Fitzgerald in 1981and left the business world to raise their son Kyle Austin. They loved their family trips to the Wisconsin Dells. Robin was a legendary host of annual Cinco De Mayo parties, making the best margaritas in the western suburbs. She welcomed every holiday with special meals and desserts.

Robin always looked forward to her yearly girl’s getaways to Arizona and California with her beloved sisters Jody Buckle and Merrill Lyons and her daughters Emily and Reyna.

Robin was a sister-in-law to Meg (Mark) Phillips and the late Brianne(Jeff) Huebsch and cherished aunt to Emily and Reyna Lyons, Tj(Caroline) Parish, Madelyn, and William Fitzgerald (Molly) Phillips and the late Bradley, Casey(Ashley) Huebsch and Lauren(Steven) Perlini. Great aunt to Sophia Barbara Phillips, Isla Perlini, Mason, Sawyer and Wren Huebsch.

Robin was a true friend to everyone she met, a welcoming spirit with a fantastic sense of humor that could brighten any room. She was also a huge advocate for anything with four paws, often dropping extra supplies to many area humane societies. There was never a time her home was not filled with dogs or cats.

A visitation will be held on March 7 from 1-4pm at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Robin's Name to the Hinsdale Humane Society. Please reference Robin's name and yours.
