Stephen Wrzesinski Sr., beloved father, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker passed away on January 5, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.on Stephen is preceded in death by his baby sister, Patricia Ann, and his parents, Theodore Wrzesinski and Loretta (Kelly) Wrzesinski. He leaves behind his beloved son Stephen Jr.; daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Petrucci; two granddaughters; and his longtime partner, Rosemary Gerty. He is survived by six siblings including his brothers John, Nick, Greg (Anita), Anthony (Julie), Peter (Sarah) and his sister Betty (Rick); as well as many nephews and nieces, and great-nieces.

Steve was a lifelong resident of Berwyn, attended St. Leonard Grade School and St. Joseph High School. 

He earned an MBA and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with honors, specializing in waste water reclamation and treatment, and pump station electrical systems. Steve was a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in six states and even designed many water treatment facilities throughout the surrounding Chicagoland area.  He was a past president of Consulting Electrical Engineers (CEE).

Steve’s worked as a managing partner for IDCS in Chicago until his retirement in 2022. He then continued to help waste water treatment facilities as a consultant until his passing. 

Steve was fun to be around and loved to socialize with family and friends at local Berwyn establishments and events.  Each year he truly looked forward to partying with his neighbors at their annual block party. Steve will be greatly missed by many.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 12pm until time of Funeral Service 12:45pm at Adolf Funeral Home, 2921 S Harlem Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402.
