Teresa D. Taylor, age 61 of Downers Grove, Illinois, passed away on April 1, 2025. Teresa was self-employed with Primerica since 1993 as a Senior National Sales Director and with her late husband Darrell, built businesses in the US, England, and Canada. Teresa was bright, energetic, and generous to whomever she came in contact with. Known in her office as the “Queen” and “Mama T”, she was a shining example of success for younger associates she mentored and coached. Teresa had an immense desire for personal development that she instilled in herself and others. She was dearly loved and touched the hearts of many.
Teresa is a longtime member of Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park, Illinois. She loved her pets, travel, music, dancing, and especially her grandchildren.
Teresa is the beloved wife of Brian P. McIlwee. Loving mother of Jason (Kendra Bocinsky) Brann and Jennifer (Christopher) Bocci. Beloved daughter of the late Carolyn and Max Hanlon. Dear sister of Michael (Jan) Hanlon of Phoenix, AZ, Brian (Lynn) Hanlon of Santa Ynez, CA and the late Chris Hanlon. Loving stepmother to Devin (Gabriel) Marcovici, Ryan (Becca) McIlwee, Caitlin (Casey) Koelbl. Awesome grandma to Christian “CJ”, Anthony, Michael, Jack, McKayla, and Brady.
A visitation will be held on Monday April 14, 2025 from 3pm to 8pm at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527.
She will lie in state on Tuesday April 15, 2025 from 10am until time of service 10:30am at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Pkwy, Orland Park Il 60467
